Adult Day Time Book Cub In-Person
Wicked by Gregory Maguire - Led by Denise Stankovics
Frank L. Baum’s The Wonderful Wizard of Oz tells the story of Dorothy Gale’s sojourn in a land over the rainbow, but it reveals only one side of the story. In Wicked Gregory Maguire presents the tale from the perspective of Dorothy’s nemesis, the Wicked Witch of the West, revealing where the little green-skinned girl came from and how she became so wicked. This is the story of Elphaba, a misunderstood creature who challenges our preconceived notions of good and evil. The book is the basis for a Tony Award-winning musical and movie, which will be shown at the library on November 5 at 10:30 a.m.
Copies will be available at the library. Please call 860-763-3501 to register.
